The Nature Conservancy's rustic Rikemo Lodge, overlooking the Clinch River, provides an excellent base for exploring southwestern Virginia's natural treasures. The lodge is located near Dungannon in Scott County and is part of Gray's Island Preserve, which protects one of the most significant habitats for globally rare freshwater mussels in the Clinch Valley.

Ideal for a family getaway, group retreat or small conference, Rikemo also serves as a base for  periodic Clinch Valley Ecotours.

Accommodations at Rikemo include five bedrooms with private baths, a kitchen, and a porch complete with rocking chairs. The entire lodge may be rented for $350 per night, or reserved for meetings at $185 per day. For information and reservations, call toll-free 866-RIKEMO-8, or visit the Rikemo Lodge Website.
