9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Join the Conservancy for a Cane Restoration volunteer workday in the Ozarks. Cane, Arundinaria gigantea, a native bamboo, was once much more common along the Current River and provides vital habitat for many forms of wildlife including the Swainson’s Warbler.

Work will include digging and transplanting cane root material to an old field area. Please bring your lunch and work gloves. Snacks and all other tools will be provided.

Meet at the Conservancy’s Van Buren office, 504 Main Street in Van Buren, at 9:30 am to travel together to the restoration area.

RSVP helpful but not required.
